xVault: Technical Functionality
1. Initial Setup
On the first launch, the user is required to create a personal Master Password. xVault does not use any default or preset entry codes. Security is established by the user immediately upon initialization to ensure the vault is protected from the start.2. Core Data Backup
Essential data—including passwords, secure notes, and private contacts—is consolidated into a single, encrypted .artabag file. This file is generated locally and is the only method for migrating or recovering these data categories. xVault does not utilize cloud servers; therefore, the user is solely responsible for the safety of this backup file.3. Local Encrypted Storage
When a photo or document is imported, xVault creates an independent, encrypted copy within its secure local directory. Once the import is complete, the original file can be deleted from the device's public gallery. Note: Currently, encrypted photos and files are stored exclusively on the local device and are not included in the unified .artabag backup file.4. On-Device Encryption & Sharing
Files are encrypted directly on the device using the AES-256 standard. Encrypted files can be shared through any communication platform. To decrypt and view the content, the recipient must have the xVault application installed and possess the correct decryption key.5. Service TiersFree Version: Limited to 3 entries for each category (Passwords, Notes, Photos, Files, and Contacts). Includes a maximum of 3 file encryption operations per 24-hour period.PRO Version: Provides unlimited storage capacity for all data categories and unrestricted file encryption.

Effective Date: March 20261. Zero-Data Architecture
xVault is designed with a strict zero-knowledge architecture. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data, passwords, photos, or files to our servers. Everything you store in xVault remains strictly on your local device.2. Local Encryption
All data added to xVault is encrypted locally on your iPhone using industry-standard cryptography (AES-GCM 256-bit) via Apple's CryptoKit. The encryption keys are derived from your Master Password and are securely stored in your device's native Keychain. We do not have access to your Master Password or your encrypted keys. If you lose your Master Password, we cannot recover your data.3. Biometric Authentication
xVault uses Apple's LocalAuthentication framework (Face ID / Touch ID) solely for the purpose of unlocking your local vault. Biometric data never leaves your device and is handled entirely by iOS.4. Analytics and Tracking
xVault does not use any third-party analytics trackers, crash reporters, or advertising frameworks. Your usage remains completely private.5. Changes to This Policy
If we modify this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Since we collect no data, changes will primarily reflect new local features.Contact Us

xVault is a completely offline, local-storage application. We do not maintain backups of your data or your Master Password. You are solely responsible for remembering your Master Password. If you lose or forget your Master Password, your encrypted data cannot be recovered by us or anyone else.3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use xVault only for lawful purposes. You are entirely responsible for the content you choose to store or encrypt within the app.4. Subscriptions and Purchases
xVault offers a free version with limited storage (up to 3 items per category) and a premium version (xVault PRO) with unlimited storage. Purchases are processed securely through your Apple ID account.
